The art and gift book „Excellent Art“ introduces thirty-one artists from nineteen countries around the globe by presenting four works per artist on a double page. The book based on two group exhibitions for winners and finalists, held in 2017 in the light-flooded foyer of Weißenthurm’s townhall on the left bank of the Rhine. In addition to the visual artworks shown at the exhibition the book also features the artworks of several guest artists and haiku poems from Portugal, The Netherlands and Germany. As one of the poets is also a visual artist, her work is presented under the heading: “Art and Poetry”. Seven artists received an award and are featured more prominently on the cover, title page and back of the book.
